Welcome

Welcome to this Blog. It is intended to be used to propagate my biweekly science tidbits entitled:

Dr. Carlson's Science Theater

If you're curious, I am a High School Chemistry and Physics teacher in the Lafayette, IN area. The "Dr" in my title is not a medical doctor, but I did receive a Ph.D. in Computational Biochemistry at Caltech in Pasadena, California.

I hope you enjoy the videos and maybe even learn something in the process!

Whoops! Actually, I perform fairly well in English (my English grades helped me acquire my BS with Honors). However, spelling has ever been a weak suit... thank goodness for spell checkers. Thanks for the catch!

(Ah, and while I was at it, I see that I spelled "receive" incorrectly as well... that is now also fixed...)

I have used your web site on several occasions to introduce or reinforce science concepts I teach high school physical science. I want to let you know that Some of my students say that they enjoy and at the same time learn from your video presentations. I learn from them as well.
I appreciate your work and thank you for myself and my students, you are an awesome professional. Please continue your great work..

Thanks, Mr. Palmer.

I am still creating videos (although slowly). I've started to emphasize my videos up on YouTube more than on this blog, so feel free to direct students there for more videos. (Most of the videos are found in both places...)
